Julien Baker shared another track from his next album, Small forgetfulness. “Favor” features backing vocals from boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers. Check out the video of the lyrics, directed by Sabrina Nichols.
“We sang ‘Favor’ in Nashville the same day we recorded vocals for ‘Graceland Too’ and a song of mine,” Dacus said in a press release. “That day had the same atmosphere as when we recorded the EP boygenius.”
Bridgers added: “Julien is one of those people whose opinion you want to hear about everything. A true critical thinker with an ever-changing and ridiculously articulated worldview. Her music changes in the same way, and this album is my favorite thing she’s ever done. I’m sure I will think the same about the next one. “
“Favor” is the third track to be released from Small forgetfulness, which arrives on February 26th via Matador. Baker previously shared the songs “Hardline” and “Faith Healer”.
