Lisa Joy’s sci-fi thriller ‘Reminiscence’ sets the end of summer – Deadline

Warner Bros. put Westworld the directorial debut of co-creator Lisa Joy Reminiscence back on the calendar after temporarily withdrawing it. Hugh Jackman’s science fiction thriller is due to hit theaters and HBO Max on September 3, Labor Day weekend.

The film previously had a release date for April 16.

Currently scheduled for a Labor Day theatrical release is from Paramount dumb and Screen Gems / Constantin’s reboot of resident Evil starring Kaya Scoldelario.

Pic follows Nick Bannister (Jackman), a private investigator of the mind, who navigates the dark and attractive world of the past, helping his clients to access lost memories. Living on the outskirts of Miami’s sunken coastline, his life changed forever when he accepted a new client, Mae (Rebecca Ferguson). A simple matter of lost and found becomes a dangerous obsession. As Bannister struggles to discover the truth about Mae’s disappearance, he discovers a violent conspiracy and must answer the question: how far would you go to keep those you love?

Thandie Newton, Cliff Curtis, Marina de Tavira, Daniel Wu, Mojean Aria, Brett Cullen, Natalie Martinez, Angela Sarafyan, Nico Parker also stars.

Joy wrote and produced with Westworld co-creator Jonathan Nolan, Michael De Luca and Aaron Ryder.
