The Detroit Lions and the Los Angeles Rams are making another exchange together.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Lions are acquiring veteran defensive striker Michael Brockers in an agreement with the Rams.

It is the second exchange the two teams have made during this off-season, as former Rams executive Brad Holmes now serves as the new general manager of Lions. They also reached an agreement at the beginning of the off-season to exchange defenders Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff, as well as several draft choices. That negotiation could also become official, finally, with the start of the new year of the league on Wednesday.

Brockers spent his entire nine-year career with the Rams. He started 136 of the 138 games he played over that period, with 28 career bags. The 5.0 bags posted by Brockers last year was the second best mark of his career, behind the 5.5 bags he posted during his second season in 2013.

By Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Rams asked Brockers to redo their contract and I couldn’t reach an agreement. The Rams are on the wrong side of the salary cap as the deadline for getting their books in order is approaching the start of the league year on Wednesday.

However, Brockers may need to calm things down with Goff, now that they are teammates again.
