LinkedIn is currently on the decline worldwide, affecting users on both mobile devices and desktops. The social network owned by Microsoft started to have problems around 2PM ET, and LinkedIn confirmed that it is working to bring the site online again.
“Some members may be having trouble accessing LinkedIn on mobile and desktop,” says a LinkedIn post on Twitter. “We are working on it as we speak and will provide updates as we have them.”
Some members may be having trouble accessing LinkedIn on their mobile and desktop. We’re working on it while we’re chatting and will provide updates as we get them. Thanks for your patience!

It is rare that LinkedIn has interruptions and it is not clear why the service is having problems today. LinkedIn had widespread problems for the last time in January last year, when users were unable to post to the service or make new connections. Today’s outage is affecting the entire site, so it is not loading for most users.
We have contacted LinkedIn for more details and will update it accordingly. If you are waiting for that important email to connect to the professional network, know that the problems are being solved.
