The Chicago Bears brought linebacker Christian Jones back after a three-year stint at the Detroit Lions.

Jones began his career with the Bears in 2014, when he signed with the team as an unpaid free agent outside of the state of Florida. After four years with Bears, Jones signed with Lions. Jones has played 45 games for Detroit in the past three seasons before re-signing with Bears on Tuesday.

Jones appeared in 63 games, with 31 appearances for Chicago during his early years in the NFL. In 2017, Jones claimed 11 of 16 games and posted 90 tackles with two sacks and a forced fumble, his career record, before leaving the agency. Jones has been a full-time starter for Lions, starting 42 of his 45 games played by the team over the past three seasons. He had 57 Lions tackles last season.

Jones’ deal with the Bears is for a year.
