Lincoln Pharmacy receives COVID-19 vaccine as part of the national program

LINCOLN, Nebraska – A Lincoln pharmacy has received hundreds of COVID-19 vaccines as part of the Federal Retail Pharmacy Program and is asking people interested in receiving the injection to apply.

RelyCare Pharmacy has already shipped 200 COVID-19 vaccines after an order was placed on Tuesday as part of the program.

According to the owner of the pharmacy, RelyCare was part of Phase 1A of the vaccine launch, which allowed them to receive the vaccines and go to long-term institutions to administer them.

RelyCare also signed up to be part of Phase 1B. The pharmacy owner said 1,600 vaccines were ordered on Tuesday, and 200 were sent to the pharmacy on Thursday morning.

The owner informed that there is a registration link on the pharmacy website, where those interested in getting vaccinated can enter their details.

The registration link is not the first to arrive, first to serve, and RelyCare is required to vaccinate only those who fall into the Phase 1B category.

RelyCare said it will contact those selected and should start vaccinating some people who register on its website on Thursday or Friday.

Kohll’s Pharmacy in Lincoln has also been approved to be part of the Federal Retain Pharmacy Program, but has yet to receive a dose.

Kohll’s is expected to receive doses of the COVID-19 vaccine by the end of the month or early March, and also has a registration list on its website for those in Phase 1B.

The enrollment lists for Kohll’s and RelyCare are separate from the state and local health department’s registration systems.
