Lil Wayne and Kodak Black are reportedly on Trump’s compiled list of people to be forgiven before leaving office

According Bloomberg, Trump is considering forgiving Wayne, who recently pleaded guilty in a federal district court to illegal possession of a gun while traveling to Florida on a private plane in 2019.

Also on the list is Florida rapper Kodak Black, sentenced to 46 months in prison on federal gun possession charges.

If convicted, Wayne faces up to 10 years in prison. The decision is scheduled to be announced during a January 28 sentencing hearing.

Wayne is a notable supporter of Trump, having posed with him in a photo in October. “I just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus, in addition to what he has done so far with the crime reform, the platinum plan will give the community real dominion. He listened to what we had to say today and assured that he will and you can do it, “he posted on Twitter at the time.

Black (born in Dieuson Octave), however, admitted to lying on background check forms when purchasing various weapons. Two of the firearms were later found by the police at the crime scene. One of the firearms had Black’s fingerprints and a live bullet in the chamber. It would have been used to shoot a “rival rap artist”, according to The New York Times.

Rappers are on a longer list of potential pardons, including family members, senior White House officials and possibly even himself.

President Trump plans to announce pardon on what should be his last full day in office, January 19.
