Lil Nas X gives Jesus an Easter dance ‘(video)

This week’s “SNL” brought back a joke from a few weeks ago, with the talk show “Oops You Did It Again”, where people apologize for the things they did that scared everyone, presented by Britney Spears (played as it was the last time by Chloe Fineman).

It all started with Chris Redd as Lil ‘Nas X, who in real life outraged conservatives this week with a new music video that shows him doing things like doing a dance on Satan’s lap. He also drove Nike crazy with a pair of Nike sneakers made to look satanic. The joke ended with Lil Nas X making up for it by giving God a lap dance over Easter weekend, although, as Nas explained, that was not the real God, it was just his friend in a fantasy.

The next was Kate McKinnon as Warner Bros. ‘the cartoon character Pepe Le Pew, who will not be in the new movie “Space Jam” in part because his whole thing is kind of… rapey. McKinnon interpreted Pepe basically as a troubled group of 20th century French intellectuals, smoking and gossiping, while insisting that he is trying to improve as well, that he is being treated for sex addiction.

Finally, the joke got where it was obviously going – with Pete Davidson introducing himself as the scary Florida congressman Matt Gaetz, who is in the midst of an extremely bizarre and disturbing scandal. Short version: Gaetz is under investigation for possible sex trafficking of a minor connected to a serious corruption scandal in his home district, he has also been accused of soliciting prostitutes and using drugs, and he is * separately * sharing non-consensual pornography with other members of the congress. Of course, neither Pepe nor Lil Nas X wanted anything to do with him.

At the end of the gag, Lil Nas X was found not guilty. Pepe Le Pew “was not so innocent”. As for Gaetz, Britney said he is not legally allowed to plead guilty or innocent, but encouraged the public to “judge him by appearance”.
