Shanna Moakler says it was “just a complete accident” that she hit the like button in an Instagram comment that criticized her ex-husband Travis Barker’s new gal, Kourtney Kardashian.
“Often, when I’m on social media, I like the comments of all the fans,” Moakler, 45, told Us Weekly, adding that he didn’t even read the comment.
“I didn’t even know I ‘liked’ it until the press published it and it was everywhere. It was just an unfortunate event, but I was definitely not trying to start a social media war! “
Do you remember – or maybe, fortunately, you won’t – that Moakler started this problem last week, when he liked a comment on his Instagram that said “Shhhhiiiii this girl has nothing about you. Travis demoted a lot ”, in reference to Kardashian.
Barker, 45, and Moakler were married in 2004 and separated four years later. They have two children: 17-year-old son Landon and 15-year-old daughter Alabama.
Moakler also offered an explanation for another post she shared in her Instagram story this week: “Stop complaining about your life,” she said. “There are people out there dating your ex.”
“It was actually about a different ex,” Moakler told us. “It wasn’t about Travis and Kourtney.”
“Seriously, at the end of the day, I haven’t been with my ex-husband for over a decade,” she continued. “I have a boyfriend that I am super happy and I am happy [Barker] found a girlfriend and a friend. He also deserves to be happy. I don’t want anything but the best for him and my children – that is the most important thing for me ”.
Moakler, however, did not address the suspicious moment of a post on Kardashian’s blog, Poosh, which was published last week, entitled “How to break the habit of chasing your ex on social media”.
“Modern life has cursed us,” he said. “We are haunted by the radical accessibility of all the people we have already met, dated or dated through a tiny device that we happen to keep with us during all times when we are awake.”
Blink-182 drummer Barker and Kardashian made Instagram official earlier this month, just days after spending Valentine’s Day together.
