The father is the consummate cool Hollywood guy – Tom Hanks – who played everyone from Rogers to Walt Disney.
The son is an aspiring tattooed rapper who declared in an Instagram video that 2021 will be the “summer of white boys”.
Meet Chester Marlon Hanks, 30, also known as Chet, Tom and Rita Wilson’s first child, who has been doing his best to break his family’s reputation – with accusations of domestic violence, a bloody head injury and reaction to cultural appropriation.
The black sheep of the Hanks clan first appeared in 2011, as the rapper “Chet Haze”. While studying theater at Northwestern, he released the song “White and Purple” – a remix of Wiz Khalifa’s hit, “Black and Yellow”, referencing the colors of his school. The general reception was a collective scratching on the head.

In 2014, he was admitted to a rehab clinic for cocaine addiction, saying he had been fighting drug use since he was a teenager. In 2016, his then girlfriend Tiffany Miles gave birth to daughter Michaiah.

He later played a small role in Showtime’s “Shameless” and played a rapper in “Empire” in 2018.
But he remains best known for his bizarre social media posts – and a large tattoo on his chest that declares “I am who I am”.
In January 2020, he posted a viral video of himself speaking with a Jamaican accent while attending the Golden Globes, where his father was receiving the Cecil B. DeMille award for his work as a whole.
His most recent version of Megan Thee Stallion’s “Hot Girl Summer” confused even more people.
“I have this expensive feeling, that this summer is about to be a summer for white boys,” he said in an Instagram video. “Take it as you like.”
“I’m not talking about Trump, white NASCAR type,” he continued, “I’m talking about, you know, me, [R&B artist] Jon B, [rapper] Jack Harlow’s white boy summer. Let me know if you can vibrate with it and get ready, because I am. “
Then there was a video of him with a head injury after a fight in January with his ex, Kiana Parker. The disturbing images obtained by TMZ showed him with a bleeding forehead – the result of Parker swinging a pan at him. This started a flood of unpleasant accusations between the two.

He accused her of stealing her money and later sued her for assault. She said he was violent against her and obtained a restraining order against him.
Fortunately for the general public, the current wave of negative media has not affected Chet’s productivity. Page six reported that “White Boy Summer” was not a video clip, but a feature film.
“We are going to edit it and get it out very quickly,” he told the photographers.
