Life goes by very fast in the suburbs, and if you don’t stop and look around every now and then, you could miss a crucial Easter egg. Marvel launched a new WandaVision mid-season trailer, which contains mostly footage and scenes we’ve seen, but offers some tempting new moments to obsess over. Check out the new WandaVision trailer below.
Mid-season trailer WandaVision
Marvel released a slightly longer version (30 seconds) of this WandaVision last week’s trailer, which features mostly new footage of Wanda and Vision noticing something strange in their Westview neighborhood, as well as more Kathryn Hahn like Agnes. And let’s face it, who doesn’t want Kathryn Hahn anymore?
But all bets are off now that we’ve learned the big reveal: that Westview exists in some kind of false reality within a neighborhood in New Jersey, created by none other than Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth olsen) But while everyone seemed happily aware of Wanda’s influence, including her loving husband Vision (Paul Bettany), cracks are beginning to form in this suburban bliss, with SWORD, led by Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and the FBI, led by Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) investigating the force field around the city.
But don’t worry, we’re still having all kinds of sitcom antics, with WandaVision passing to honor comedies from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, including footage in which Wanda is speaking to the camera as a Modern Family-sitcom style. But the crazy detours can only last so long, while the Vision begins to wonder what is outside of Westview.
Carry on with WandaVision every Friday at Disney + and tune in to our spoiler discussions on the same day on the SlashFilm Daily podcast.
Marvel Studios’ WandaVision combines the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel cinematic universe, in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision – two superpowered beings who live their ideal suburban life – begin to suspect that not everything is as it seems.
