LG unveiled three new game monitors as part of its CES 2021 ads, following the introduction of a new main entry in its UltraFine series earlier this week. The new batch of monitors includes a model update on LG’s 27GN950 gaming monitor with support for HDMI 2.1, a 32-inch 1440p monitor and a 34-inch 1440p ultra-wide monitor.
The LG UltraGear 27GP950 is a 27-inch 4K game monitor, which uses a Nano IPS panel and supports a fast refresh rate of 144 Hz, although LG says it offers 160 Hz overclocked. It also supports HDMI 2.1 and variable refresh rate, allowing players to experience 4K games on PC and consoles at a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which may be attractive to new PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series S owners. / X who wish to opt for a monitor over a TV for the latest generation games.
A successor to the launch of LG’s 27GL850 monitor last year, the UltraGear 32GP850 is a 31.5 inch monitor that features a refresh rate of 165 Hz (180 Hz overclocked) and offers a gaming experience with a resolution of 1440p. Finally, the new LG UltraGear 34GP950G is a 34-inch ultra-wide 1440p monitor with a 21: 9 aspect ratio and features Nvidia’s G-Sync Ultimate certification, which LG says will allow the monitor to provide “the best image quality with minimized visual stuttering and tearing. ”(The other two in the batch are compatible with G-Sync.)
LG has yet to reveal a release date or price for the UltraGear 27GP950, 32GP850 or 34GP950G monitors.
