LG’s latest 4K CineBeam projector automatically adjusts to your living room light

LG is known for its short-range CineBeam projectors, but also manufactures standard long-distance models. Namely, the company has just launched the CineBeam HU810P 4K laser projector with some interesting features. For starters, it can produce 2,700 ANSI lumens of brightness, covering 97 percent of the standard DCI-P3 color space for cinema. Better yet, the “Adaptive Picture Pro” mode automatically adjusts this level to match your room’s ambient lighting.

The HU810P has two presets for light and dark rooms and detects the amount of light to provide the best image in terms of brightness and contrast, “even providing a true cinema environment, if desired,” wrote LG in a press release. For cinema purists, it can automatically show movies at the original frame rate of 24 fps using the “Cinema Real” mode. It also supports HDMI 2.1 with 10-bit color, offering HDR10 and HLG HDR modes, although it does not have Dolby Vision or HDR10 + (few projectors do this).
