The LG Wing is one of the strangest phones launched recently, with a rotating design that produces two usable screens (although one is smaller than the other). LG is still working on new ways to use the dual-screen layout, and now an update to be sent to Verizon subscribers includes some of the company’s new ideas.
The update has a software version of the F100VM10d and, although it is almost January, only the November 2020 security patch level is included – good job, LG. The main new feature of the interface is that apps can now be switched between the two screens, accessible by swiping the app you want to move with three fingers or by opening the quick settings panel.
There is a hint of minor changes as well. Names for apps and folders on the secondary home screen are now enabled by default (they were hidden to save space), the camera app supports scanning QR codes, the 5G icon is a different color, more wallpapers are included for choose, and the media controls now also appear on the secondary screen when you don’t have an app open.
The update is now being released for the Verizon LG Wing. If you don’t already have it on your device, you can try to check for new updates in the ‘About the phone’ section of the Settings app.
