LG 2021 Gram laptops feature 11th generation Intel processors

LG announced its 2021 line of Gram laptops, which feature a new design, as well as some internal updates. There are five models. They include three shells (Gram 17, Gram 16 and Gram 14), as well as two convertible models (Gram 2 in 1 16 and Gram 2 in 1 14).

LG has not changed the subscription features of the Gram line. LG Gram laptops are known to be surprisingly light (hence the name “Gram”). The Gram 17 weighs just 2.98 pounds, the same weight as its predecessor. It is highly unusual to see a 17-inch laptop weighing less than 1.3 kg and use a really messy one in your mind – I always felt like I wasn’t carrying anything when holding the 2020 model, because I expected it to be much heavier. The Gram 16 weighs just 2.62 pounds, while the 14 weighs 2.2 pounds.

Another great feature of the 2020 Gram 17, which was carried over to the 2021 model, was the 16:10 screen. Offers more vertical space than a traditional 16: 9 panel. In addition, LG says the new shell models have a new “thin four-sided bezel design” that achieves a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent. As is evident from the photos that LG provided, the settings look very small, which gives everything a nice modern vibe.

LG also claims that the keyboard and touchpad have been increased “for greater comfort and efficiency”.

The most significant updates are inside. All new Gram laptops have Intel Core 11th-Gen processors and can come with Iris Xe graphics or UHD graphics. All models are also certified through Intel’s Evo program, which is an Intel emblem designed to certify that the laptop can last at least nine hours of battery life, wake up quickly from sleep and other features.

LG claims that you can see up to 19.5 hours of the Gram 17, Gram 16 and 16 2 in 1. This is a statement I would normally suspect, but I will say that the 2020 Gram 17 had one of the longest running batteries I have ever seen on a laptop last year. It lasted about 10 hours of my daily workload (which is quite intense). So LG knows what it is doing when it comes to efficiency and there are reasons for optimism.

“Synonymous with unprecedented portability and first-class performance, the LG Gram brand continues to raise the bar for the ultra-thin and thin laptop market,” said Jang Ik-hwan, senior vice president at LG and head of the company’s IT business in a statement. “With more elegant and refined designs and 16:10 aspect ratio screens while maintaining their light weight, our latest LG Gram line offers consumers the ability to enjoy better productivity and more immersive viewing experiences wherever they are.”
