If this Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series 2021 were a player, he would say always bet on black. That’s because Lexus really doubled the black for this limited production LC 500. In addition to a little internal and external finishing, black is practically the order of the day for this new offer and yes, it is the only color offered. The carbon fiber usually looks black, and you’ll find some of that here. Specifically, the roof receives special treatment, along with a very large wing on the deck cover. In fact, calling it wing it is quite appropriate in this case, as Lexus says it was designed after studies involving Red Bull Air Race World Championship aircraft. In addition to following the curvature of the rear of the LC 500, the corner drop canards are designed to “create a vertical cortex that helps to smooth the turbulence generated by the air flow along the car’s flanks.”

Whether or not it really helps the Inspiration Series with grip or aerodynamics is unclear. Lexus does not give further details, except to say that the wing is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and goes well with the black forged 21-inch wheels. Inside, the Inspiration Series gains sports seats with Alcântara finish and more carbon fiber for the door protection plates. It is not a fully dark cabin, as the tan accents are present in the seats and doors. Seat belts are also tanned and an emblem on the center console lists the specific production number for a production of 100 units. Yes, only 100 of these Batman-approved attractions will be built.
Under the dark skin, you’ll find the LC 500 standard power of a naturally aspirated 5.0 liter V8 that makes 471 horsepower (346 kilowatts). Power is sent back to a Torsen limited slip differential, included as standard equipment for the LC 500 Inspiration Series. The rear performance rod provided by Yamaha with a shock absorber is also standard, as well as a head-up display for the driver, the Lexus SmarAccess Card Key and a 915-watt sound system in case the high-speed V8 exhaust note gets tedious .
