Forever a champion
The gaming world lost one of its big names last week. Jonas Neubauer, known for his extraordinary ability to Tetris, passed away on January 4. He was only 39 years old.
Neubauer is the most accomplished classic Tetris history player. During his competitive career, he won seven Classic Tetris World Championships, winning four consecutive years from 2010 to 2013 and guaranteeing three repetitions from 2015 to 2017. He also set several records, including in 2018, when he cleared 100 lines in three minutes and nine seconds. That time is now the second fastest in the world.
It is with a heavy heart that we deliver the terrible news that Jonas passed away in a sudden medical emergency.
He was the absolute best. We are devastated, overwhelmed by sadness and we already miss him so much.
