Legend of Zelda Fan is remaking Ocarina of Time in Unreal Engine 4

The latest footage of the Ocarina of Time remake shows the Castle City and the Temple of Time.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time it is the fan favorite entry into the long franchise and many fans over the years have created a wide variety of fan projects. In one of the most ambitious projects I’ve ever seen, Yianni Papazis is currently working on a remake of Ocarina of Time on Unreal Engine 4.

You can check out the latest game video below, and the work so far is absolutely stunning:

The footage covers both the Castle City and the Temple of Time. What makes this remake so impressive, in addition to the incredible graphic update itself, is how well Papazis manages to maintain the whimsical character designs and vibrant color palette for which Ocarina of Time is known. Remastered music is an absolute delight, as it improves sound quality without detracting from the upbeat melody. You can download Windows Build here.

Another great Ocarina of Time project comes from a Reddit fan, which is the recreation of a Lon Lon milk bottle. The bottle itself looks like a normal glass bottle with a stopper. The label is modeled after the label in Ocarina of Time, rather than Super Smash Bros. where the label is brown instead of blue.

Lon Lon Milk is found as an item in only a few Zelda games like Ocarina of Time or The Wind Waker on the GameCube. Although the milk itself does not appear in other games, there is a place called The Milk Bar in Majora mask, The Phantom Hourglassand a connection between worlds, where presumably Lon Lon Cows milk is sold.

In the meantime, you can check out our brilliant review of the first Breath of the Wild by Lou Contaldi. According to him: “Returning to the roots of an unknown environment, pure adventure and intrinsic difficulty, Breath of the Wild it’s much more connected to the original title than any of the games that would come after. And, in fact, all these qualities end up being strengths for the game ”.
