Nintendo has revealed that a remastering of the classic 1999 RPG Legend of Mana will be released on Switch, PS4 and PC on June 24. Check out the trailer at the top, which was first revealed during today’s 50-minute Nintendo Direct.
The Legend of Mana remaster will include better graphics and a reorganized soundtrack, which you can exchange for the original soundtrack if you prefer. Better yet, the Ring Ring Land minigame is finally reaching the West to be remastered after being exclusive to Japan for more than 20 years.
You can order the Legend of Mana Remaster for $ 30 now, and if you do it before July 23, you will receive a reward pack with ten avatars and a custom Legend of Mana theme for PS4 or wallpaper on the PC (via Steam).
Legend of Mana was and still is unique for its “Land Make” world-building system, where the player placed objects called Artifacts in empty square lots on a grid-shaped map. Artifacts placed on the map become Lands where the player can enter and complete to gain another Artifact. Combat takes place in real time and involves the use of powerful weapon skills between normal attacks, when the special movement meter is full.
The Mana series in general has reappeared somewhat in recent years. The first three games were included in the Mana Collection on the Switch in 2019, and last year Trials of Mana had a complete remake.
