LeBron shouts A’ja Wilson after getting a statue in South Carolina

Thursday was a great day for A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces. On the same day that Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis bought the Aces, a statue of Wilson was erected in his alma mater in South Carolina. And when all of this was done, LeBron James jumped into his mentions and transformed what was already a big day on an even bigger one.

Wilson, the current WNBA MVP, was a legend in South Carolina and took the school to its first national championship in 2017, before becoming the No. 1 choice in the WNBA Draft 2018. James again posted a tweet about Wilson from SLAM Magazine and Wilson responded, saying what a mess James had made with her mentions already very busy on such a big day.

James, of course, has long been a fan of Wilson’s in recent years and Wilson also wears his own personalized versions of LeBron’s signature shoes during the WNBA season. And with the way the season started for James and the Lakers, LeBron can follow Wilson in the MVP victory, which would tie Michael Jordan in second place of all time with five career MVPs.
