LeBron James annoyed by fans during the Lakers game, the referees stop the game briefly

There were a limited number of fans in Atlanta, Georgia, on Monday night due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that didn’t seem to stop the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, LeBron James, from getting into a heated argument with some on the sidelines.

Hecklers appeared to be open-mouthed with James during the fourth period of the dispute between the Lakers and the Atlanta Hawks, which caused the referees to stop playing and the security guards to get involved, according to a video of the incident posted on Twitter.

The fans in question were reportedly two women who were escorted from the State Farm Arena. One showed the middle finger when leaving, according to Chris Kirschner of The Athletic.

James seemed to get rid of the incident, scoring 21 points, while the Lakers defeated the Hawks 107-99.

“At the end of the day, I’m happy that the fans are back in the building,” said James after the game. “I miss this interaction … We, as players, need this interaction.”

Last week, a Cleveland Cavaliers executive celebrated James’ wrong kick late in the third quarter during a game between the Lakers and Cavs. James would explode in the 4th quarter leading his team to a 115-108 victory in the competition.
