Leaks of new Pokémon Unite game images

In case you forgot, there is a new Pokémon MOBA in development called Pokémon Unite which is set to hit Nintendo Switch and mobile devices in the future. Although The Pokémon Company hasn’t said much about this new game since it first revealed it in 2020, it looks like we’ll soon receive a lot of new information.

The reason for this belief comes from the fact that a new game video for Pokémon Unite recently found its way to YouTube. The video, which was just uploaded today and can be found below, features an entire game starting from the opening Pokémon selection screen to the post-game lobby and the accompanying main menu. The footage we see revolves around a player controlling Charizard, but other Pokémon like Slowbro, Absol, Snorlax and Lucario are also featured.

If you’re wondering how this gameplay came about in the first place, Pokémon Unite is going through a closed beta phase now. The only downside is that this beta is only available in China at the moment. The game text of the game video certainly denounced this, if you’ve watched it for yourself. For now, there are no plans to bring that same beta to other regions, but that could change in the future.

The positive side of this whole situation is that, Pokémon Unite having a beta version means that a formal release may be coming sooner than we think. In all likelihood, the game will undergo additional beta phases in other regions of the world in the coming months, before being released later. While this is by no means a guarantee, other multiplayer games, especially those for mobile, tend to follow this pattern.

Of course, if any disclosure is made about Pokémon Unite in the near future, we will obviously keep you posted here on ComicBook.com. Until then, you can continue to follow all of our coverage of the game in the future here.
