Initial speculation pointed to an event taking place on March 16; Yet, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman ruled out the possibility, leaving the door open for an event later in the month. Kang says the Apple event will be held on the same date as the OnePlus 9 reveal, which is scheduled for Tuesday, March 23.

Due to the global health crisis, the Apple event should be held digitally and broadcast live through its website and official YouTube channel. March 23 and 30 are reasonable estimates of when Apple should host an event. Apple regularly holds events on Tuesday and is also expected to hold an “early spring” event to coincide with the launch of App Tracking Transparency on iOS 14.5.

Official details about the Apple event remain unknown. However, growing evidence of the imminent launch of ‌AirTags‌ suggests that Apple’s Tile tracker may debut at the March 23 event. DigiTimes, and others, also suggested that Apple will launch updated iPad models with mini-LED screens and faster processors in the first half of the year.

Shortly after Kang suggested the date of March 23, Jon Prosser, YouTube personality and Apple leak expert Jon Prosser tweeted “23”, in an apparent demonstration of support for Kang and his predicted event date.

Last year, Kang was the first to accurately reveal that Apple planned to revive the MagSafe brand for the iPhone 12, and also released precise details and release dates for the full line of the ‌iPhone 12‌ and the supposed HomePod mini before they were officially announced.
