The Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus may have been revealed in new leaked images, revealing its layout and the possibility of ending the cascading curves for which the series is known – or perhaps being so light that they are hardly rounded.
The photos are courtesy of Mauri QHD, tweeted a trio of images showing the front and back of the supposed S21 Plus. The device represented has a hole for the selfie camera in the upper central part of the screen, fine bezels, a volume control and lock button on the right side and, at the rear, the set of three rear cameras in a cutout we ‘hope to previous leaks.
S21 +? I never use images, but a friend sent me these, so, hey .. pic.twitter.com/npjamUSlThDecember 29, 2020
The new images align with previous leaks from supposedly official renderings and marketing photos, but this is the first time that we are seeing alleged photos from the front of the phone (an earlier leak showed the rear of the S21 Plus and S21 Ultra). While the new photos may turn out to be inaccurate, they line up with rumors earlier enough to suggest that this is the layout we will see when the S21 line is revealed on January 14th.

What changed from the S20 to the S21?
We rely heavily on rumors, leaked specs and possible renderings to paint an image of the next S21 phones, so – assuming the images are accurate – it’s a big deal to see a real-world version of the devices for the first time. And … it hasn’t changed much from the S20 to the S21.
The biggest difference is in the rear camera set, which apparently maintains the main 12MP + 12MP ultrawide + 64MP telephoto trio used on the S20, according to a previous rumor, but may miss the flight time depth sensor. Perhaps this is done by software.
Otherwise, the S21 may be different from its predecessor on its main screen, which could lose the curves for which the S series is known. It is difficult to tell from the new photos, although there is a revealing vertical line of reflection at the edges of the screen that indicate a rounded edge.
In any case, the curves look much more subtle than the sides of other phones that have adopted similar cascading designs, like the Motorola Edge Plus. We will have to wait for more images to leak to confirm or refute our suspicions before the phone is released on January 14, 2021.
