Riot unveiled Viego, The Ruined King in a fantastic cinematic trailer during the year 2021 League of Legends celebration video, but it didn’t give us much details about what he would actually do in the game. Fortunately, the complete kit was launched on League of Legends site just a few minutes after the stream, so now we know exactly what Viego is capable of.
Viego is a jungler who can run to enemies to stun them, and then possess them as soon as they are defeated. If he has an enemy champion, he gains the use of all the basic skills of that champion, as well as the use of his own Ultimate. While this certainly makes Viego unique, it should also make it one of the turns onis the toughest champion, as you need to know how to make good use of all the other champions in the game to get the most out of it.
Viego will likely reach the League of Legends Public Beta environment sometime in the coming weeks, so it should arrive live before the end of the month. Before he gets there, take a look at all of Viego’s skill kit:
Liabilities – Domination of Sovereigns
Viego may temporarily have enemy champions who help kill the cure for a part of their maximum health. During possession, Viego’s items, attacks, and non-definitive abilities become those of his dead enemy, and he gains a free cast of his own last, Heartbreaker.
Although he has an enemy, Viego also gains bonus movement speed when moving towards enemy champions.
Q – Blade of the Destroyed King
Passive: Viego’s attacks cause a percentage of your target’s current health as a damage bonus on hit. When Viego attacks an enemy, he recently hit with an ability, the attack hits twice.
The second hit drains the target’s health instead of doing regular damage, but it still applies to the hit effects and can attack critically.
This liability is maintained during possessions.
Active: Viego advances with his blade, dealing damage to all enemies hit.
W – Spectral Maw
Viego charges and then advances by launching a blast of fog that stuns and damages the first enemy hit.
Stun duration and fog range increase with charging time, damage and non-stroke range.
E – Harrowed Path
Viego spreads a wave of Black Mist around a nearby wall. While in the fog, Viego becomes camouflaged and gains attack speed and movement speed.
R – heartbreaker
Viego discards any body he is currently possessing and teleports forward, attacking the enemy champion in range with the lowest health percentage and dealing additional damage based on his lost health.
Other enemies in range are knocked down.
