League of Legends announces four new champions

Riot Games has released some details about what League Of Legends players can expect in 2021. The big bet is four new champions arriving throughout the year, starting with Ruined King himself this month. In the future, three other new champions will join the game as well, although their identities are still a little secret.

Riot says Viego, the Ruined King, a jungler champion, is the first of the lot to come later this month. They also revealed their skill set and he seems, as I suppose royalty usually is, very possessive. Viego’s “Sovereign Domination” ability temporarily controls an enemy champion that he helped to kill, giving him access to his items and abilities.

It also has a Black Mist camouflage that you can identify in the eye-catching cinematics that Riot launched to announce its arrival. You can catch him wielding that Blade of the Ruined King in a Riot reveal video above.

After Viego, Riot points to the other three new champions who will come this year and who are part of his history: a magical warrior with some kind of sewing theme, an artillery wizard and a sniper. They will fill the rest of the League’s roles, so that no matter how you play, you’ll have a new champion to test this year.

On the upgrade side, they shared a little bit more about their job of updating Dr. Mundo’s appearance and skills. If you want to have a word about which champion will be fixed next year, you can vote for that on your League client until January 19th. You can vote for Udyr, Shyvana, Nocturne, Skarner or Quinn.

If you are interested in studying the king’s kit before it appears, you can find the details on the Riot website.
