Latest top247 for 2023 includes multiple local destinations

The latest Top247 for the 2023 class features multiple South Carolina Gamecock destinations.

Five are from the state of South Carolina. All five list an offer from Gamecocks.

Camden defensive tackle Xzavier McLeod is ranked first in the general No. 41. The previous team in Columbia offered last May.

The former South Carolina team also offered an offensive tackle Monroe Freeling, who attends Oceanside Academy in Mount Pleasant. He listed two places behind McLeod. Both have a rating of 93.

Devin hyatt is the only local skill player listed in the Top247. The Dutch Fork High School wide receiver comes in at number 67. It has a rating of 92. The current South Carolina team offered it earlier this year.

At No. 157 overall is the defensive end of Sumter Monteque Rhames, Palmetto State’s most recent 2023 prospect of getting a Gamecocks offer.

Offensive striker Dorman Markee Anderson was one of the first potential customers in 2023 to receive an offer of Shane Beamer and your team. Anderson is the country’s 181 potential customer.

Rhames and Anderson are rated 90. Both, along with the three ranked ahead of them, are now listed with four stars.

South Carolina has an offer on the table for defensive attack Peter Woods, the second potential customer. Woods is a former first year teammate for wide receiver Sam Reynolds, who graduated from Thompson High School (Alabaster, Alabama) in December.

Gamecocks also offer wide receiver Brandon InnissArturo Freeman, a former South Carolina defender, trained Inniss for several years in the Miami area.

Longview Wide receiver, Tex. Jalen Hale will skip to No. 24, after checking in at 60 in the previous update. Former Georgia Commitment Treyaun Webb (Jacksonville, Florida) is a few points behind Hale at 27.

Christian Hamilton is the highest-rated prospect in the state of North Carolina. Hamilton, who is listed as 31, attends Hickory Ridge High School in Harrisburg, just outside Charlotte.

All three, Hale, Webb and Hamilton, received an offer from the new South Carolina technical team.

Also outside North Carolina: Rico Walker (48) and Tad Hudson (58). Hudson, a quarterback at Hough High School in Cornelius, got his Gamecock offer from the previous team. Walker is classified by 247Sports as a defensive winger. He’s from Hickory.

Dylan Lonergan, the general perspective nº 62, was focused by Shane Beamer & Co., right after the placement of the staff. Lonergan (Snellville, Georgia) is also a pitcher much sought after by the South Carolina baseball team.

Blessed Catholic Trinity (Roswell, Georgia) running back Justice Haynes was initially offered by former Gamecocks running back trainer Thomas Brown, during a game visit in 2019. Beamer and Montario Hardesty re-offered earlier this month. Haynes is No. 83.

Johntay Cook II, a wide receiver from DeSoto, Texas, accepted an offer from South Carolina shortly after Justin Stepp coach of wide receivers was tabulated. Cook checks in at 86.

South Carolina ex-tight end Kyle Markway has a younger cousin, Mac Markway, which was recently offered by Gamecocks. The youngest Markway is from Saint Louis. He’s potential customer number 130.

South Carolina recently offered again Joel Starlings, a 6-foot-5, 310-pound defensive tackle from Richmond, Virginia. He’s 135 now.

Two more Gamecock tight end targets made it to Top247: Ty Lockwood (146) and Lawson Luckie (173). Lockwood attends Independence High School in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee. Luckie is from Norcross, Georgia.
