Late Night Reflects on the legacy of ‘One who will remain shameless’

Welcome to Best of Late Night, a summary of the highlights of the previous night that allows you to sleep – and allows us to be paid to watch comedies. We’re all stuck at home at the moment, so here are the 50 best movies on Netflix now.

The dawn hosts couldn’t help but share their excitement on Tuesday, President Trump’s last full day at the White House.

“It is the day before yesterday the day we were all waiting for, because tonight is the last show we will do during the presidency of the one who will remain shameless,” said Stephen Colbert.

Conan O’Brien gave us the final credits of the Trump administration, completing America’s “four-year relationship” with a cast of memorable characters.

Jimmy Kimmel wondered if, in the end, becoming president paid off for Trump.

“Six years ago, we were all perfectly fine to let him keep wandering around New York, pretending to be a billionaire. He could be organizing golf tournaments, doing commercials for TGI Fridays, playing the role he created of the wealthy tycoon. He could have bought some new helicopters, some new wives, and we all would have just rolled our eyes and thought, ‘Oh, this is Donald Trump. He probably would have done a great job as a cranky TV judge in some covert competition of celebrity pie eaters. That’s where Donald Trump belonged. But now, most of the country despises him; most of the world despises him. We found out that he doesn’t pay taxes; he does not have money; he is likely to face criminal charges in New York. Nobody will do business with him. I cannot host a golf tournament; can no longer operate a merry-go-round in his hometown. His wife hates him; your children are screwed. He has to hide in that Cheesecake Factory with a golf course in Florida where he lives for the rest of his life. He will no longer be able to invite journalists to his office and, in general, will be considered the worst president in the history of the United States. So was it worth it? For him, it probably was, but it’s over now. ” – JIMMY KIMMEL

In “The Late Late Show”, James Corden and a band of Broadway artists redefined “One Day More” for “Les Misérables”.

“Security was not even so strict when the president was about to be black.” – TREVOR NOAH

“Look, man, here’s the thing: tomorrow at this hour, Donald Trump will be out of power. And I just hope – I hope it slowly disappears like one of your tan. And I know that he will never go away entirely, right? He’s basically the Covid of politics. America will experience side effects long after it leaves the system. And, unfortunately, we will probably see mutant strains as well. ” – TREVOR NOAH

Carey Mulligan spoke to Trevor Noah about his new dark and comical revenge thriller, “Promising young woman”.

“Euphoria” star Hunter Schafer will tell Jimmy Fallon about his new episode independent of HBO’s success on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show”.
