Las Vegas Raiders sign a one-year contract with receiver John Brown, the source said

The Las Vegas Raiders have agreed to a one-year contract with wide receiver John Brown, a source confirmed to ESPN.

The deal is worth $ 3.75 million and could reach $ 5.5 million if incentives are met, the source said.

Brown joins a body of Raiders wide receivers led by Henry Ruggs III and Hunter Renfrow in the first round of 2020. Las Vegas launched veteran Wide receiver Tyrell Williams earlier this season.

Buffalo Bills released Brown earlier this month in a move that freed up $ 7.93 million in wage cap space.

Brown, 30, set up a career season for the Bills in 2019, setting career records with 72 receptions and 1,060 yards while operating as Buffalo’s No. 1 receiver.

These numbers declined dramatically in 2020, as injuries limited him to just nine games and the second lowest reception (33) and total yards (458) of his career.

A choice for the third round of the Cardinals in 2014, Brown has 320 receptions for 4,748 yards and 31 touchdowns in 96 career games for Arizona, the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo.

News of the Brown deal was first reported by NFL reporter Adam Caplan.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Marcel Louis-Jacques contributed to this report.
