Las Vegas Raiders being linked to the Vikings pass-rusher Danielle Hunter

There has been speculation that the Minnesota Vikings may end up negotiating hobby star Danielle Hunter and, of course, the Las Vegas Raiders are being connected to him.

Raiders always seem to be connected to players who may be in the trading market and, as Hunter is an elite pass rush, a potential adjustment in Las Vegas makes sense because Raiders urgently need to improve their rush pass production. Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Vinny Bonsignore addressed the topic of a persecution of Hunter in Las Vegas on Monday.

Hunter wouldn’t be cheap. It would probably cost at least a first-round choice and command an extension of the contract at the top of the market. This can be difficult for Raiders to do.

He’s coming out of surgery to repair a herniated disc in his neck and he missed the entire 2020 season. However, the 26-year-old’s defensive side has been dominant in the previous two seasons – he had 14.5 sacks in 2018 and 2019.

If the Vikings decide to trade with Hunter, there will be a huge market and the Raiders will probably investigate, but it would be a monstrous business in terms of salary and trade compensation.
