Las Vegas Convention Center will offer second doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

The Southern Nevada Health District will begin this week to offer second doses of the Pfizer vaccine at the Las Vegas Convention Center vaccination site.

The site is serving only those who received the first doses of the vaccine at a clinic operated by the health district or one of its partners.

The interval to receive the Pfizer vaccine is no more than 21 days after the first dose. The district began administering the Pfizer vaccine on January 21, which means that the first recipients of the first dose will receive a second dose on Thursday.

The site continues to offer second doses of the Moderna vaccine, which can be administered no earlier than 28 days after the first dose.

The site is receiving visits from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, or “based on the capacity of the clinic,” the health district said in a press release on Tuesday. The site is dedicated to providing second doses and is not providing first doses.

The district will accept only visitors who have received their first doses at these locations or events: the health district at Decatur Boulevard, Cashman Center, Western High School, Jerome Mack Middle School and vaccination events organized in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Henderson and Touro University.

The convention center location is located in area C-1 of the facility’s Central Hall. Parking is available just off Paradise Road on Convention Center Drive.

Second dose consultations, when available, can be scheduled at https://covid.southernnevadahealthdistrict.org/vaccine/second-dose/.

People with questions or who need help making an appointment can call the health district at 702-759-1900. The line is open during business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
