Larry King’s former widow, Shawn King, filed a lawsuit over the star’s recently revealed secret will.
Last week, King’s will leaked and stated that he wanted his $ 2 million estate to be divided among his children. Notably, the document mentioned their two deceased children among the beneficiaries.
The document, which was written shortly after King filed for divorce from Shawn, made no mention of his ex-wife.
Shawn, 61, recently told Page Six that she planned to challenge the will in court, as she and her husband had already worked out a plan that was not reflected in the will.

“We had a very clear family ownership plan,” she told the news agency of a plan that she and her husband drew up “as a couple” in 2015.

In court documents submitted by Shawn on Tuesday, she opposed the “alleged holographic testament” as well as Larry King Jr.’s “Ex Parte Petition … for Letters of Special Administration”.
The documents state that, although the divorce proceeding was “pending” between the broadcast legend and Shawn, “he gave no indication that he really wanted to file for divorce (except the initial filing of the Dissolution Petition”).
In addition, doctors said Shawn and King were participating in counseling and “reconciliation remained possible until Larry’s health conditions made this impractical.”
The two married in 1997. They filed for divorce in 2010 before they reconciled. He again filed for divorce in 2019.
“Shawn is the most knowledgeable about Larry’s business, assets and desires,” said the suit.
King has three remaining children – Larry King Jr., 59, Chance, 21, and Cannon, 20 – he shared Chance and Cannon with Shawn while his sons Chaia and Andy died last year.

The lawsuit claims that Larry King Jr. “was unknown to Larry until [he] was well into his thirties “and that King Jr.’s mother and Larry separated before the child was born.
King Jr. “was never involved in Larry’s career or business, and it would be highly inappropriate to put him in a position as Larry’s property representative,” the doctors said.
The suit alleges that the New Testament handwritten claim that “it must replace all previous writings” “is not sufficient to revoke the previous will”.
Also mentioned in the lawsuit was an alleged “secret account” owned by King, whereby he “would make community-owned donations to various individuals without Shawn’s knowledge.”

The documents claim that King had presented King Jr. with more than $ 266,000 between January 1, 2013 and July 31, 2018. Shawn claims to have the right to declare “gifts void and recover” between 50-100% of the value of the gifts.

“Shawn still believes that [Larry King Jr.] exerted undue influence on Larry in connection with some or all of these gifts in the creation of the supposed Holographic Testament, “the documents said.

The announcer was “of questionable mental capacity” in his later years, the lawsuit alleges, meaning that “he was highly susceptible to outside influences at the time he was supposed to have executed the Holographic Testament”.
King Jr.’s representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment.
