Larry King is said to have left behind a ‘handwritten will’ advising a uniform division of his fortune for his five children in the event of his death.

The legendary journalist died of sepsis on January 23 at the age of 87 in Los Angeles, after a battle against COVID-19.

His last will was written on October 17, 2019, about two months after he filed for divorce from his seventh wife, Shawn Southwick, who was left completely out of the note, according to TMZ.

‘This is my last will and testament. It should replace all previous writings, ‘said the document.

The radio and television presenter was worth about $ 50 million when he passed away earlier this year.

He added that, in the event of his death, he wanted ‘100%’ of his funds to be ‘divided equally between my sons Andy, Chaia, Larry Jr, Chance and Cannon’.

Larry lost two of his adult children months apart in 2020.

Shawn revealed that Larry was ‘ready to go’ while battling an infection at the hospital after beating the coronavirus.

She added that her last words were during a video call from the hospital: ‘I love you, take care of the boys’.

She told Entertainment Tonight: ‘It was an infection, it was sepsis. Well, he was finally ready to go, I’ll tell you that.

‘You know, he never wanted to go, but his sweet little body was simply, he had been hit so many times with so many things and when we heard the word Covid, all of our hearts sank.

‘But he won, you know, he won, but he took his toll and then the unrelated infection was finally what got him, but man, he wasn’t going to fall easily.’

Shawn said he was grateful to be able to speak with Larry, the father of her children, Chance, 21, and Cannon, 20, in a video call before his death.
