LAPD poll report from George Floyd’s photo with the caption, ‘You take my breath away’

LOS ANGELES – Michel Moore, head of the Los Angeles Police Department, on Saturday announced an internal investigation following the complaint that a photo of George Floyd was circulating among police officers with a caption that said, “You take my breath away,” report said.

The Los Angeles Times reported that the photo had a “valentine-like shape”. He told the newspaper that there is zero tolerance “for anything with racist views”.

The police officer who alerted the department to the alleged photo is due to be interviewed on Monday. Moore said that if the photo is confirmed, “people will find my anger”.

Floyd, a black man in handcuffs, died on May 25, 2020, after former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who is white, pressed his knee against his neck for several minutes, even after saying he could not breathe.
