The first film in the series – For all the boys I’ve loved before – came out in 2018, while the sequence – For all the boys: PS I still love you – was launched in 2020.

“[The movie] it was received much better than I ever imagined in my dreams, “explained Condor.” It changed a lot of my life very quickly. “

The film’s success also coincided with its set time on the SyFy TV series Mortal Class – and Condor said she felt overwhelmed as a result.

“I was just saying yes to everything because it is a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Condor, “and you want to capitalize on that, and you want to feel like you’re embracing everything fully.”

The result, said Condor, is that she “never felt so bad mentally. I was so exhausted”.

“I came home at night and I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep. I agitated by going to bed and shaking myself up because it was just so much encouragement.”

Eventually, Condor approached his team to let them know how she was feeling: “I had a moment when I was just crying, telling them that I don’t feel well. And everyone was shocked because I wasn’t open about my feelings. I knew. When I had that conversation with them, it was like a new beginning. Now I know the power to share that. “

“My mom and dad support me a lot,” she continued. “We talked about ‘Lana, you need to stop. You are clearly unhappy. ‘… [And I said,] ‘OK, let’s find out the root of this.’ My parents have been a big sounding board. “

Condor’s boyfriend, Anthony de la Torre, also gave me emotional support: “He’s so good at communicating and really wants to know how I feel and what’s going on in my head, that [makes me] I feel so loved and cared for. “

Condor concluded that, once she decided to be open with the people around her about her struggles, she is now in a place “where I feel I can do what I love and also be the person I want to be for myself”.
