Charlotte Hornets guard season LaMelo Ball is in jeopardy after it was revealed that he broke his wrist.
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, it is feared that Ball suffered an injury to his right wrist after his fall against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. The Hornets, however, are seeking a second opinion about the injury and what steps they can take next.

On the other hand, Adrian Wojnarowski ESPN noted that Ball could miss the rest of the season with the injury:

These are arguably the two main NBA insiders in the game today, and although their reports do not correspond to 100 percent, it is clear that Ball has suffered a serious injury here. The only thing in the air now is how much time he is going to spend on the shelf. We expect an official statement from the Hornets soon.
This is a hard blow for Ball (and, of course, for the Hornets too), who is in the middle of a rookie campaign. The 19-year-old has been the absolute leader for this season’s Rookie of the Year award, and as it stands, this recent development could have a significant impact on the ROY race.
James Wiseman of the Golden State Warriors has been making a splash lately, and the same can be said for Minnesota Timberwolves first overall pick Anthony Edwards. An injury at the end of the season for Ball could make the race open.
Prayer for LaMelo and we all hope for a quick recovery for the Hornets rookie.
