Lamar Jackson silenced many of his critics with his first win in the playoffs on Sunday, joining two defenders who claim to be two of the best who have already qualified. Jackson joined Dan Marino and Patrick Mahomes as the only players in NFL history to win an MVP award and win a playoff game in the 23-year season (Jackson turned 24 last week, but the 2020 season counts as his season 23 years old since then he was 23 in week 1 of the regular season).

Jackson finished 17 from 24 to 179 yards with no touchdowns and an interception for a 74.8 passer rating in victory – while running for 136 yards and a touchdown while the Baltimore Ravens eliminated a 10-point deficit in the first quarter to defeat Tennessee Titans 20-13. Since he started 1 for 3 for 7 yards with an interception (and Baltimore fell 10-0), Jackson made 16 for 21 for 172 yards with a rating of 99.7 and had 14 boots for 134 yards and a touchdown.

Jackson joined Colin Kaepernick as the only two quarterbacks in the Super Bowl era to run for over 100 yards and a touchdown in a playoff game and is also the second quarterback to have two 100-yard running games in the postseason (Kaepernick is the other) Jackson and Kaepernick have four of the six 100-yard run games in the playoffs. His 48-yard run touchdown in the second quarter was the second longest touchdown performed by a quarterback in playoff history, after Kaepernick’s 56-yard touchdown in the 2012 playoffs against the Green Bay Packers (NFC divisional round).

Jackson also had his first 10-point comeback in his NFL career (he was 0-6 previously when he lost by 10 points).
