Lady Gaga’s photo in ‘House Of Gucci’ with Adam Driver inspired Oscar-worthy memes

Lady Gaga may have another chance to achieve Oscar glory when “House of Gucci”, starring Adam Driver, hits theaters later this year. Fans, however, already regard the film’s winter fashion as a victory.

The pop icon shared a photo on Tuesday of her and Driver in the Italian Alps, where “House of Gucci” is being filmed.

Directed by Ridley Scott, the film follows Patrizia Reggiani (played by Gaga), who was convicted of plotting to murder her ex-husband in 1995, fashion entrepreneur Maurizio Gucci (Pilot). A former socialite, Reggiani turned 18 years old before being released from prison in 2016.

Gaga subtitled the after ski image “Signore e Signora Gucci,” or “Mr. and Mrs. Gucci. “

The image quickly went viral and received more than 3.9 million likes on Instagram as of Wednesday afternoon. He also sped up the meme machine, inspiring reactions previously reserved for the gloves of the day of senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.

Much of the attention was focused on Driver’s sweater, which looked a lot like what Chris Evans wore in 2019’s “Knives Out”.

Gaga’s white fur hat and gold jewelry, in turn, were compared to the “Schitt’s Creek” matriarch Moira Rose.

On Wednesday, “Schitt’s Creek” creator and star Dan Levy retweeted an image that had superimposed Moira (played by Catherine O’Hara) on the original snapshot.

Other great memes include pairing the stars of “House of Gucci” with a character from “Looney Tunes” …

… as well as with Moira and Sanders.

New York writer and artist Daniel Nolen, meanwhile, compared the photo to “The Way We Were” from 1973, in which Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand rocked with similar clothes (and hats).

Scheduled for release in November, “House of Gucci” will be Lady Gaga’s first film role since “A Star Is Born” in 2018, for which she received an Oscar nomination for Best Actress and a victory for Best Song.

The film will also star Jeremy Irons, Jared Leto and Al Pacino.
