LOS ANGELES – LA Clippers will have their superstar duo available when they face league leader Utah Jazz on Friday night, with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George ready to return from injuries.
Both are back on the starting lineup after George lost his previous seven games with a swollen right toe and Leonard missed out on the previous three with a left leg injury.
“They have been doing well and the body has reacted well to the training they have been doing,” said coach Tyronn Lue. “Tonight is the night.”
The Clippers’ starting lineup is complete again, with Nic Batum also returning after losing the previous two games due to a concussion. Reserve keeper Luke Kennard is also available to play after losing the last game with a knee pain.
George stayed away until the pain and swelling subsided on his toe.
“I just know [George] feels no pain and the swelling has subsided, “said Lue.” He has played basketball on the entire court for the past few days and has been feeling good. No pain, no problems … both [pain and swelling] they’re gone. “
Utah defeated the Clippers with few players on Wednesday and enters Friday’s game with 20 wins out of 21.
