The relationship between the Houston Texans and their star quarterback, Deshaun Watson, seems to have gone sour. The quarterback may have reached a breaking point and may contemplate a negotiation request if the situation does not improve.
Of course, this launched a flurry of speculation and commerce scenarios on social media, mainly by fans who believe their teams should be on the phones immediately trying to make some kind of deal with the Texans. This includes fans of the San Francisco 49ers, who, according to a recent survey, you may be willing to sacrifice the future for the chance to add a dynamic player like Watson.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter said Watson’s level of anger after an exchange that sent wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to Arizona Cardinals last season was two. The quarterback’s discontent is on the rise now.
Also worth noting: a source said this week that, after Houston switched Pro Bowl wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in the last off-season, Deshaun Watson’s anger level was “2 … This time, it’s 10” . https://t.co/CsqZYbe3OK

Reports on Deshaun Watson’s unhappiness with @HoustonTexans are accurate and sources close to QB say he is still irritated by the team’s insensitivity to social justice, including hiring practices, after the franchise failed to interview Chiefs OC Eric Bienemy last week.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen adds that Watson might consider a switch to the Miami Dolphins, with Tua Tagovailoa and additional loot compensation directed at Texans.
Sources say Watson could play tough with the Texans over a negotiation. His new $ 156 million contract includes a no-trade clause, but informed speculation from a source is that he would consider the @MiamiDolphins where Tua Tagovailoa and the additional compensation go to Houston.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reportedly had some conversations with NFL executives who think a deal between the Texans and the 49ers could happen if the situation with Watson “went nuclear”. This would involve quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and “several important choices” going to Houston in exchange for Watson (h / t for Patrick Tulini to find).
La Canfora notes that an exchange with the 49ers would take Watson out of the AFC and reunite Garoppolo with the new general manager of Texas, Nick Caserio, who was the personnel director for the players in New England when Garoppolo was drafted.
Some executives sent me text messages with a similar trade concept about Texans if the situation with Watson went nuclear: Jimmy G plus several important choices for Watson. Caserio / Jimmy reunion. Take Watson out of AFC a little bit like Belichick wouldn’t trade Jimmy inside AFC.

Of course, Garoppolo has a no-deal clause in his contract and would need to agree to any deal. The salary limit reached by Garoppolo’s separation is minimal compared to the average defender’s salary.

The San Francisco 49ers fan base is decidedly divided with the prospect of mortgaging an insurmountable amount of starting capital for the prospect of hiring Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson. Pro Football Focus outlined a hypothetical but realistic trade scenario for the defender, which involved sending his first round picks in each of the next three drafts, choosing this year’s second round and Jimmy Garoppolo. As of this post, the results of our poll on the subject are almost equally divided, with half willing to do this and the other half unwilling to give it up.

Perhaps there is something in Mike Florio’s report this morning from Pro Football Talk, which said there were rumors that an unfortunate Deshaun Watson could request a change from the Houston Texans. Analyst Benjamin Allbright quickly dismissed the report from the Texans’ perspective, saying the team would require three choices in the first and three in the second round to start considering leaving the franchise’s quarterback. So you have the

Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio caused quite a stir on Thursday morning, reporting that NFL rumors pointed to Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, potentially requesting an exchange, despite having recently signed a new extension of four years, $ 156 million. There is a growing buzz in league circles that Deshaun Watson could ask to be negotiated, and his new contract doesn’t make it as difficult as you think.
