Kadokawa posted the first promotional video for the anime for television Light tuchihilight romance Kyūkyoku Shinka Shita Full Dive RPG ga Genjitsu Yorimo Kuso-Gee Dattara (What if the ultimate in fully immersive virtual reality RPGs were a game worse than reality itself) on Saturday. The video shows previously announced cast members, and the anime website also posted three more cast members.
The newly announced cast members are:
Set in the late 21st century, the story follows a boring high school student named Hiro Yūki (a double pun with “hero” and “heroism” in Japanese) when he is taken to participate in a complete diving role (fully immersive VR ) – Playing. The game, Kiwame Quest (literally, “Ultimate Quest”), is promoted as “more real than reality” with mind-blowing graphics, impressive NPC behavior and even the smell of foliage and the feeling of the wind blowing against your skin.
Unfortunately, the game is already a virtual ghost town, after being inundated with complaints from players that the game is unrealistic for its own sake. Your missions are almost impossible to clear, since players must be physically prepared to complete them as in real life. Players experience real pain when hit, and puncture wounds take days to heal.
The only reward is a mere sense of accomplishment. It’s the complete opposite of a casual pick-up-and-play game, but Hiro promises to win this most realistic (and most stressful) game ever.
The anime’s cast members are:
Kazuya Miura (Uzaki-chan wants to leave!, DRAMAtical murder) is directing the anime in ENGIand Kenta Ihara (Cautious Hero: The Hero is Outdated, but Excessively Cautious, Tanya the Evil Saga, The Hidden Dungeon, only I can enter, Shachibato! President, it’s time for battle!) is supervising and writing the series’ scripts. Yūta Kevin Kenmotsu is designing the characters based on the original illustrations from the novel by You are.
The anime will premiere next April.
Kadokawa published the light novel with illustrations by You are In August. Tuchihi’s The hero is defeated, but overly cautious The series of light novels also inspired an anime for television last year.
