As has been the case for several Wednesdays, a new gameplay trailer has been released for King of Fighters 15. This time, let’s take a closer look at what Kyo Kusanagi will look like and play in SNK’s next 3v3 fighting game.
Based on the trailer, it looks like Kyo and Iori’s rivalry is stronger than ever. Although some fans have speculated that Kyo and Iori could join in King of Fighters 15, Kyo’s team was not revealed at the end of the trailer as Benimaru, Shun’ei and Meitenkun – Team Hero.
Kyo has been one of the main protagonists of King of Fighters since the launch of the series. He is the heir to the Kusanagi clan, one of three clans responsible for sealing the legendary snake entity, Orochi.
Like Iori, Kyo has access to pyrokinetic abilities that increase his attacks with fire while he fights. These skills do not give him or Iori immunity to fire.
When Yuichiro Hiraki first designed Kyo, he intended to be a contrast to the Street Fighter Ryu. As such, it means that Kyo does not like to train and is strong due to his natural talent.
