Kyle Long says Bears’ initial QB in 2021 will be a familiar face

That was too much for an exciting off-season culminating in a new starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears. It won’t happen, at least not according to former Bears striker Kyle Long.

Long gave his hot opinion on Wednesday about what is likely to come in the ever-worrying story of Chicago’s search for a quarterback.

“I don’t think they will be able to do what they want in the draft as a defender,” said Long of Bears. “I think we will see Nick Foles with a full off-season, being the starting quarterback. Obviously, I think Mitch is going somewhere else. “

Bellows with a full off-season behind him does not suddenly make him a good starting defender. That doesn’t even make him an average starting quarterback. This makes him the same defender as always: a newsboy who is not good enough to keep a job for more than a season or two.

What Long fails to recognize in his Bellows prediction is the urgency with which Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy are working. They can’t risk another Bellows season collapsing in their pockets like a non-athletic deck of cards. They need a solution; a legitimate update. And Pace will do what he can to make that happen, even if it means overpaying for a player like Derek Carr in the trading market or throwing the dice on Jameis Winston at a free agency.

At that point, the two players would give the Bears a better chance of winning 10 or more games in 2021. And it will take a season like this for Pace and Nagy to win another year in Chicago.
