Kroger announced that it would pay all members $ 100 if they were vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Those who cannot be vaccinated for medical or religious reasons can complete a class on health and educational security to get paid, the company said.
“We know that the most effective defense against this pandemic comes in the form of the COVID-19 vaccine and in the continuation of the strict safety precautions that we have established in our stores, factories and supply chain,” Dr. Marc Watkins, Kroger’s chief physician said in the ad. “We are strongly encouraging all customers and associates to receive the vaccine to contain the spread of COVID-19 and will do everything we can to ensure that they have access as soon as it is available.”

The ad said the company, which has stores in 35 states, would invest an additional $ 50 million “to thank and reward members” with a $ 100 store credit and 1,000 fuel points available for groceries, supply chain , manufacturing, pharmacy and phone calls. center workers.
