Krispy Kreme offers free glazed donut to anyone showing Covid’s vaccination card

Starting on Monday, Krispy Kreme is offering customers an extra incentive to be vaccinated – a free Original Glazed donut for those who present their vaccination card at any Krispy Kreme store in the United States

And it’s not just a one-time offer – those with vaccination cards can return every day for free donuts until the end of 2021.

On its website, the company says that those who want free treatment must present a Covid-19 vaccination registration card indicating that they have received at least one injection of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, or the Johnson & Johnson single injection vaccine. The company will not honor vaccine stickers.

“Providing donuts with free Original icing to those who are vaccinated is just another gesture that we hope will improve people’s lives as the country accelerates to put this virus behind,” the company said in a statement to NBC News.

Krispy Kreme offers up to four hours of paid time off to its employees to facilitate vaccination. The company is also planning to send free donuts to selected vaccination centers across the country in the coming weeks to “support healthcare professionals and volunteers who are helping to administer the vaccines”.

“We all want COVID-19 to support us as quickly as possible and we want to support everyone who does their part to make the country safe by being vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available to them,” Dave Skena, director of marketing at Krispy Kreme , said in a press release.

The offer can only be redeemed at the store or drive-thru. No online orders or delivery will be accepted.

Krispy Kreme is also offering customers a free Original Glazed donut and medium coffee at participating locations across the United States every Monday from March 29 to May 24. The company hopes that this will help “start your week off to a good start in these difficult times”.
