Krispy Kreme offers free donuts every day for the rest of 2021 to anyone with a Covid-19 vaccination card

Krispy Kreme wants to give you a free donut for receiving the Covid-19 vaccine. And you don’t have to hurry: you can take advantage of this offer any day – or every day – for the rest of 2021.

Now you can enter any of the company’s stores across the country, display the card showing that you have been vaccinated and go out with an “Original Glazed” donut at no cost.

“This is the first day we do this,” a team member Krispy Kreme at the Southeast Portland store told The Oregonian / OregonLive on Monday morning. “Some people have already entered [for a free doughnut]. I’m not sure how busy this is going to get. We’ll see.”

They are not adding personnel in anticipation of a flood, said the team member, who declined to give his name for publication. But they are making extra original donuts – the only option for the toast – so they are not surprised.

The purpose of the promotion, said marketing director Dave Skena, is to “spread awareness” about the importance of vaccines to stop the deadly pandemic. “I think anything anyone can do to help show support to those receiving the vaccine is a good thing now, so we are just trying to do as little as we can.”

Krispy Kreme announced that he is granting paid leave for his employees to be vaccinated.

The North Carolina-based company has offices in the Portland area at 9950 SE 82nd Ave. in Portland, 16415 NW Cornell Road in Beaverton and 8517 NE Andersen Road in Vancouver.
