Kris Jenner on Khloe’s engagement rumors, baby fever, Kim’s divorce and more

Kris Jenner talked about the current state of life of the extended Kardashian-Jenner family as they sail through the 20th and final season of “Keeping up with the Kardashians” during an appearance in “Ellen.”

The final momager talked about Khloe engagement rumors, his thoughts on Khloe and Tristan Thompson trying for baby number two like Kim is dealing with her divorce Kanye West and more.

But she also opened up about a simpler time in the family’s life – long before the cameras started rolling – when she and her then spouse Caitlyn Jenner were a little embarrassed.

All children play hide and seek, and one of the best places to hide has always been under the bed. Well, it was apparently where Khloe and her friend decided they needed to hide during a fateful day when Khloe was just ten years old.

“They hid under my bed and stayed there for a long time and meanwhile, Bruce – at the time – and I lay in bed and went to sleep,” recalls Kris. Well, they didn’t exactly go to sleep, they went “a little joke”.

Kris didn’t go into too much detail, but said the whole thing “was traumatizing”. She also told Ellen DeGeneres that Khloe probably “didn’t mention it because she has PTSD because of it”.

To make matters worse, Kris said it was evident that the girls knew they were there for something they probably shouldn’t be, because she said it took hours before they tried to escape – only to be caught by Kris and Caitlyn.

“They couldn’t know what we were doing, but I think as they got older, they found out,” she said.

Now, however, it is Khloe wanting to bring another baby into the world, although not in the old-fashioned, traditional way. She is working with Tristan Thompson to produce frozen embryos.

“I think it’s so good that they want to do it again and have a brother for True,” said Kris. “There is nothing better than a big family and brothers and sisters. And that is just my heart. I am very happy. I just want them to be happy, and True will be very excited.”

Although the family has certainly come up with creative names for their children, we are not sure whether Khloe will accept Ellen’s suggestion that they call True’s brother False. “Ha, that’s a good one,” laughed Kris. “Oh my God!”

But what if they did?

When pushed on the ring prominently seen in what finger, Kris put on his momager hat, protecting the brand and its possible secrets, and offered little more than teasing.

“It’s a good ring. I think she loves jewelry. She loves a good ring,” said Kris with a sly smile, adding, “You should ask Khloe that.”

After all, if Ellen hires Khloe on the show to ask her that question, it just expands the Kardashian empire. And they have a whole new network to take over after the end of the final “KUWTK” season. The family is going with Hulu for whatever the next evolution of their brand is.

“We are choosing a production company and just discovering what the real show will be like, but it was a wonderful experience working with them,” said Kris of the streaming service. “And have a new chapter to look forward to.”

Whatever happens, it appears that this phase will include a single Kim (alongside a possibly Khloe fiancee), since her and Kanye West’s divorce has been shelved. When asked how Kim is handling everything, Kris assured Ellen: “Kim is fine!”

“She is very, very busy working on all of her different projects,” Kris told her. “And I don’t know how she does it with all those grandchildren. She has a lot of energy, that child.”

One of his biggest projects, of course, is his aspirations to follow in his father’s footsteps. Before the family reached fame, the late family patriarch, Robert Kardashian, gained fame for his involvement in the OJ Simpson murder trial.

Now, Kim is busy studying for the Bar Association hoping to pass in 2024 and eventually open her own law firm. It looks like a fantastic reality show, doesn’t it? Not just one following his journey to start a company, but one following the cases that he will take on as part of his ongoing initiatives for prison reform and other social causes.

“You know, she is so focused and passionate about everything and everything she represents and I see her studying,” said Jenner of Kim. “It’s on her agenda every day when I get all the times for the kids. Her study time is all blocked so that nothing else can get in the way, so I’m very proud of her.”

Kris said Robert was Kim’s “idol” – he died in 2003 when Kim was 22 – and calls his desire to “do something like his father” “very special”.

As for the final season of “KUWTK”, Kris said she was surprised at how excited she is. She broke the fourth wall recently by talking about it at the show, addressing the team that has been with them for the past 14 years and 20 seasons.
