Knicks 95, Cavaliers 86: Scenes of Julius Randle triple-double glory

The New York Knicks withstood the scorching Cleveland Cavaliers and won a 95-86 victory. It wasn’t the most beautiful basketball game – New York turned the ball 25 times and hit a terrible 13 to 21 on the free throw line – but they were spurred on by Julius Randle’s strong game. Randle scored the Knicks’ first triple-double of the season: 28 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. It was the Knicks’ first triple-double 20 points since Carmelo Anthony.

The Knicks were losing Alec Burks, who has been great for them so far this season, but Reggie Bullock took the day off, hitting five points out of three and getting a stolen clutch late to seal the victory.

Elfrid Payton was strong at the end of the game, hitting two three (seriously, when did Elf learn to shoot three?).

The kids didn’t stand out too much, so coach Tom Thibodeau gave a lot of support to the vets – Randle played 44 minutes and Bullock, 41 – but tonight, it was a recipe for victory.

Benny has the recap. Enjoy your night, guys.
