Kirby Developer HAL Laboratory presents new projects for 2021

Kirby

This year marked the 40th anniversary of HAL Laboratory – the Japanese developer behind the long Kirby series.

In 2020, he launched Kirby Fighters 2 on the switch and brought the title Part-time UFO for the hybrid system as well. What is on the horizon for 2021, then?

In an interview with 4Gamer recently, three company directors presented new games, merchandise and even events. Here’s the Siliconera translation (thanks, Oni_Dino):

Tadashi Kawai:

“We at HAL Laboratory will continue to deliver games in 2021 with three main values: surprise, fun and warmth. Thank you very much.”

Teruhiko Suzuki:

“In 2021, I want to release another strange type of game from HAL Egg! And, please, play Part-time UFO! It is a fun game that you will love! Tell me what you think! “

Yumi Todo:

“We will continue to work hard on our goal in 2021. That is, so that as many people as possible can enjoy Kirby [games]. We have plans not only for games, but also for merchandise, books and a variety of events, like Kirby Cafe. We hope you continue to support Kirby and HAL Laboratory in 2021! “
