Kings Of Leon announces the awaited new album ‘When You See Yourself’

Kings Of Leon announced their long awaited eighth album ‘When You See Yourself’ and shared two new tracks.

The Nashville band has been provoking new music since late last year, with a flurry of snippets hitting social media last week.

The quartet announced the new album in a surprise suitcase that was sent to fans and revealed the tracklist and some of the lyrics on the album. ‘When You See Yourself’ is scheduled to be released on March 5 by RCA Records and was produced by Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Coldplay).

The new songs ‘The Bandit’ and ‘100,000 People’ followed the news – you can hear the two below now.

The tracklist for ‘When You See Yourself’ is as follows:

‘When you see yourself, you’re too far away’
‘The thief’
‘100,000 people’
‘Stormy weather’
‘A wave’
‘Restless Golden Age’
‘Time In Disguise’
‘Supermarket’
‘Claire and Eddie’
‘Echoing’
‘Fairy tale’

It seems that the apparent titles shared in the various passages provoked by the group in the last days are not the real names of the songs. The tracks were designed to be called ‘Feel The Way You Do’, ‘Spin It Like We Can’, ‘Dancing In Your Head’ and much more.

Kings Of Leon has also launched a new product line on its website, with 100 percent of the “hero’s t-shirt” revenue going to the Live Nation Crew Nation aid fund, which helps live music teams fighting the pandemic of the coronavirus. The t-shirt will be available for purchase until January 15th and can be seen here.

‘When You See Yourself’ will arrive almost four and a half years after the band’s last album, ‘WALLS’ in 2016. In a four-star review, NME said: “Kings Of Leon were great as a cult band and great as a stadium band. It doesn’t matter what they do, as long as they do it with conviction. And here they seem more focused and alive than before. “
